eSeminar summary and learning objectives
Good quality EEG is fundamental for the interpretation of brain activity. Various technical requirements when performing clinical EEG will be described. Artifacts are signals recorded by EEG but not generated by the brain. Learn to recognize physiological and non-physiological artifacts, and how to deal with these artifacts during real-time EEG recording.
Objectives:
• Overview of ACNS technical requirements for performing clinical EEG
• Recognition of common artifacts
• Practical suggestions to remove or reduce artifacts
About the Speaker
Minna Sim, B.S., REEGT
Minna holds a Bachelor of Biomedical Science from La Trobe University (Australia) and is a certified ASEPA-ASNA EEG Technologist. She has nearly 8 years of clinical experience with an extremely wide experience in the clinical and technical aspects of EEG in different setups and for different requirements (Epilepsy Monitoring, Intensive Care Unit, MSLT). In the last years, Minna had been working as Neuro Technologist in National Neuroscience Institute of Singapore, one of the leading institutions of the country. She joined Natus Neuro in 2020 as Clinical Application Specialist for EEG/EMG for APAC region.
